[Late at night, those who dare venture the woods may hear a sharp snap. The rustling of leaves, and... a cough? Seems someone's in the neighborhood, though from a distance, it looks like nothing more than a disembodied flame.

Should one venture closer, they'll find Ven with his clothes smudged with dirt, twigs poking outta his hair, and big, baggy circles under his eyes. Quite a departure from his normal, tidier appearance.

He continues on his way towards the village, eventually stopping at the plaza and plopping down at the edge of the fountain. Briefly, he catches glimpses of familiar faces walking by. Fuuko. Terra. Aqua. Vanitas.

Minako...

And each time, he shouts out their names. Tries to get up, but his legs are about as sturdy as rubber, and he finds himself back where he started.

After a while, he finally opens his journal and speaks.]

So, uh... I guess I've been missing a lot, huh? [Cue some sheepish laughter.]

Guess that's what happens when you go to the beach before a big Shift! I couldn't even use the teleporters to get back, so I kinda had to... walk. A lot, and then I got kidnapped.

[Tsk. What a pain.]

I'd ask what was up with that Shift, but I'm honestly just glad it's over. Couldn't even summon my Keyblade while that was going on.

[After a long pause, he heaves a soft sigh.]

Anyway, all these weird ghosts showing up got me thinking... A lot of my friends are gone now. Some have been gone for years. So I guess what I'm trying to say is... well, does anyone wanna be friends? My name's Ventus, and I've been here for a really long time. So if any of you guys are still new, I'm more than happy to give pointers. Or talk about some of my adventures in other worlds, maybe. Just uh... I think I could use some company right now.

Hey, guys, I've got a question.

[He sighs. It's something that's been bothering him for a while.]

See, I've got this friend, who's... well, he's a little shy. Doesn't have a lot of friends, kinda serious and lately it seems like he's had a lot on his mind.

For those of you who don't know him, his name's Kohan. He's tall, has silver hair with black streaks, looks kinda like Riku...

Anyway, I'm just wondering what I should do. I really wanna make him feel better, but I don't wanna force things on him and make him uncomfortable.

[Before he can finish, a strangely colored pegasus butts in, nudging Ven with his head. C'mon, c'mon! Let's go fly, you doofus. C'moon...

Ven rubs at the back of his neck.]

See, I got this guy for Christmas, but I'm not really sure how to take care of him or what he really is. I get that he's some kinda horse, but that emblem on him's really unfamiliar. I know he's definitely not an Unversed...

Plus, I dunno what I oughta be feeding him. All I do know is that he keeps staring at the bakery whenever we walk by.

[But later on, Ven can be found riding on his colorful steed. ...awkwardly.

It seems that his Dream Eater's taking him on a wild goose chase, straight for the bakery, and... Right into the roof, leading to an awkward landing when the two slide down from the edge.

Hope you guys weren't trying to go in there.]

[Ven isn't exactly sure what's going on, but he'll be zipping around the village as best he can, trying to see if any familiar faces pop up. Other times, he might end up crashing to strangers completely on accident; it's packed, after all, making it difficult to get around!

But really, find him anywhere, any time.]

[As for Rainbow Dash, she's using the crowds to her advantage, performing daring stunts right over the village. See rainbows dashing through the sky, clouds swirling up like soft serve ice cream, and so much more! She'll be at it for a while.

Later, she'll stop just long enough to hang on top of a cloud... right next to the bakery. Like, literally above the roof. Weird, eh?]

[It happened when he went to check up on Vanitas and give him some freshly cooked ravioli. He'd gotten his head on straight after the recent experiment, meaning that he'd settled back to his regular routine, albeit with some awkwardness.

But when he went into Vanitas' room, he found nothing. Nothing but his music player and a few CDs left behind. It's... jarring, to say the least. He'd been spending months trying to make Vanitas a better person, but now that he's gone--

He could come back without memories. He'd be back to the way he was, hurting people for his own enjoyment. Trying to forge the χ-blade...

When Ven addresses the journal, there's no mistaking it-- he's upset. While some might be happy to hear the news, Ven is not one of those people.]

For those of you that knew him, Vanitas is... gone.

I guess you guys don't have to worry about him now.

[Except Ven's scared. Housemates might find him up on the roof, warily watching the sky. Later on, he'll be hanging by the bakery and the library, just trying to find a suitable distraction. First one of his closest friends disappeared, and now this... Just his luck.]

Hey, looks like we just got a huge batch of New Feathers! Well, welcome to Luceti, everybody! My name's Ventus, and if you need help getting around, I'd be glad to lend a hand. Just lemme know if you need anything, and I'll do my best!

But does this mean we're gonna need another New Feather party? Wonder if we've got enough room.

[Well, whatever the case, he's gonna be running all over the place, trying to meet some new people! Why? Becuase FRIENDSHIP. He can be found anywhere.]

Hey, guys, I've got a few questions for you. It's almost time for the festival, so I just wanna make sure I've got my bases covered.

First of all, what's your favorite ice cream? Any kinda toppings you'd want? I wanna make sure there's something for everyone.

[A beat.]

Also, is there anyone who'd wanna help run the stand? I don't mind handling it by myself, but if there's two or three more people, it'll go way quicker.

[And with that, Ven's going to be out and about, gathering supplies. He'll be hitting up the stores for all kinds of goodies, going back and forth. He doesn't mind stopping to chat, however!]

[ooc: AU info is pretty simple. Ven grew up with his three brothers, has magic and Keyblade powers, attends school, and is a very social and friendly kiddo. I'm up to maintaining his Luceti CR in the AU and any new friendships as well! He's a social kid. Also part of the Rogues.

[Ever since Ven returned to the village he's been on-edge... to put it lightly. Between the draft and his encounter with Vanitas, he's not only exhausted, but pretty scared at this point.

That's why, as he's making his way through the village and back towards his house, he's carrying his Keyblade with him and stopping occasionally just to make sure he's not being followed.

Just don't be surprised if he's a bit jumpy; kid's got a lot on his mind.

You know, fighting a real war's nothing like fighting the Unversed. It's way more serious, and people die out there, on both sides... It's dangerous and kinda scary.

[He pauses for a few seconds.]

But I'm glad I could help. Even if what the Malnosso do is wrong, that battle was about more than just them. Plus, it feels good protecting people; it's a better reason to fight than just killing.

[And with that off his chest...]

I'm sure some of you heard what happened to Axel. He got attacked and almost died.

Well, the person who hurt him's name is Vanitas. He wears a mask and armor all the time, and he can use a Keyblade. If you see him around, be careful; he's really dangerous, and I don't want anyone else to get hurt!

[With that little warning out of the way, he's highly considering closing his journal, but after a moment he adds:]

[Shortly after he finishes his message, Ven can be found outside, wearing his armor. That's not all, though; rather than travel around on foot, Ven's decided to use the rooftops to his advantage, gliding from roof to roof in order to see if he can spot Vanitas. If you're sleeping, don't mind any thuds that might occur from him making a landing. It's for a good cause!]
