Hey, looks like we just got a huge batch of New Feathers! Well, welcome to Luceti, everybody! My name's Ventus, and if you need help getting around, I'd be glad to lend a hand. Just lemme know if you need anything, and I'll do my best!

But does this mean we're gonna need another New Feather party? Wonder if we've got enough room.

[Well, whatever the case, he's gonna be running all over the place, trying to meet some new people! Why? Becuase FRIENDSHIP. He can be found anywhere.]

[Hello Ventus. A boxy robot is wheeling up beside you and tugging on your pants. Oh. Oh hi.]

[Huh, what's-- oh! Ven smiles, crouching so he's a bit more level with Wall-E.]

Hey there, little guy.

[allocates]

[...Whoa. Human. Hu-man. He recognizes humans. But this human is not like the ones he knows.]

Wall-E. [He holds out one metal utility hand.]

Nice to meet you, Wall-E!

[He'll go ahead and shake. This robot seems nice enough.]

I'm Ventus, but you can call me Ven.

[allocates]

[Ven. Ven-tus. Ven. He processes the name, attaches it to memory. Ven-tus. Ven.]

Ven. Wall-E, Ven.

[risingwinds]

That's right!

[D'aw. This little guy's pretty darn cute.]

[allocates]

[He looks around a bit--you know, he really has no idea where this is or how he got here. But he is very curious about it.

He points up at the sky and then to all of the trees. It's like nothing he's ever seen before. What is it?]

Well.

[And that's all Ven is going to get from this familiar researcher, who is staring at dem wings.

He's having too much of a sensory overload to say anything else at the moment.]

Hey, I remember you!

[Yep, too distracted to realize Even's staring at the wings. Way to go, Ven.]

[Even calmly changes his gaze to make eye contact with Ven.]

I would hope so, Ventus. It has not been very long since we parted ways.

However... [He glances at the wings again.] I do not recall those appendages being present before.

[Questions about where the hell they are will come next.]

Oh, you mean the wings?

[He looks over his shoulder and rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.]

Well, everybody who shows up here winds up with 'em.

[ hey ven it's probably not a good idea to be running around like that because there might be other people running around and you might just end up running right at each other

speaking of which, guess who's careening around the corner right now?

and WOOOAHH he tries to skid to a stop but it's too late and he just kind of goes crashing ungracefully right into ventus. ]

[Yeah, Ven was in such a hurry that he ends up bumping into Terra as well, landing flat on his rump.]

[He looks up, and immediately grins, scurrying back onto his feet.]

[ terra's a little longer getting to his feet, because he's a big guy and all and YOU'RE SO SMALL AND SPRY.

but anyway he's standing now and dusting himself off and let's just hope that no one saw us. ]

.. Oh, hey, Ven -- what are you doing here?

[ because this is totes just some normal worldhopping fun right? ]

Well, you see...

[Gosh, where does he begin? After spending a year in Luceti, it's hard to keep things too simple.

Well, let's not break big bro's brain.]

I just sorta showed up here outta the blue. That's how most people get here.

[ yeah um terra's brain is a delicate creature please don't mishandle it. that is probably a good call. ]

You mean.. you didn't travel here on your own, either?

[He shakes his head, taking a moment to dust himself off. It's a delayed reaction, but he was kinda excited to see his bro. So that's... totally a valid excuse, right?]

One minute I was in Neverland, and the next thing I knew, I crash landed in the middle of a forest.

[Granted, he had the Star Shard blast him off... somewhere before that, but apparently there was no connection.]

terra rubs the back of his head and looks confused but this is generally how he almost always looks. ]

That's .. pretty weird. The same thing happened to me.

I think most people land there, but I did see a few people crash into the fountain once.

[Which must've been incredibly awkward. Luckily that was in the summer, and not the winter, but still!]

[ oh that sounds pretty .. unfortunate for those people. he's glad he just fell in some nice soft grass. ]

Huh. Glad I wasn't one of them. [ pause. and okay he's assuming you just got here too!! ] So what is this place? Have you talked with anyone yet?

This place is called Luceti! And I've talked to a bunch of people, Terra.

[But, man, how does he even explain?

Welp, let's try easing into the subject.]

But I've been here for a while now.

[magistricide]

Luceti, huh?

[ he rubs the back of his neck and looks thoughtful. ]

Oh yeah? Then maybe you know what's up with these wings.

[ you've been here like what, two.. three days, right. ]

Sure do!

[It's kinda hard not to when you've had 'em for so long.]

Everybody who winds up here gets 'em. They don't do anything, but it's really important to keep 'em safe.

[ he's just gonna walk a slow circle around ven, leaning in with his hands on his knees, checking out those dinky little wings. they're kinda cool actually but they seem like they'd get in the way a lot. ]

Well, if they take too much damage, it can really hurt you.

[And kill, but he'd rather not be too much of a downer right now. No need to get Terra worried!]

That doesn't sound too good.

[He slowly shakes his head.]

It's not, but so far I've been okay. Some of my friends, though...

[Like Sora, who got a wing torn off by Vanitas. Shudder.]

[ ouch that sounds pretty rough. UGH VANITAS (FUU) ]

Right. So can you .. move 'em? Or use them?

[ because that would be so boss. ]

Excuse me! Yes, pardon me... oh! Watch the tail, will ya, pal? Gosh, the crowds in this place...

[ A familiar falsetto, isn't it? It resounds from somewhere down the street, where a pair of large black ears can be seen moving through the crowd.

Ventus might catch up to them if he moves fast enough! ]

[risingwinds]

[Ven would recognize that voice anywhere! Grinning, he'll scurry along, trying to catch up to his mouse-bud.]

[In the middle of the crowd, as Ven is running around, he's going to be stopped. Not from the front, but behind. A pair of hands will slide onto his shoulders, grip his shirt and hold him still. Yellow eyes fixed on him, the shadow grins widely]

[...Oh god. It just had to be the spooky Shadow Naoto, didn't it?

[She wraps her arms around his neck, almost like she's trying to hug him]

[Okay, he's just gonna squirm and... try to get loose.]

Looks can be deceiving.

[Zidane usually pays attention to where he's going, but he's walking and eying the mass of people around this place. Not a familiar face in sight.]

[He bumps into someone by accident and steps back...] S-sorry! [A nervous laugh escapes him.] Didn't see ya.

[Oof! Well that was... unexpected, but Ven just laughs, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.]
