Hey, guys, I've got a question.

[He sighs. It's something that's been bothering him for a while.]

See, I've got this friend, who's... well, he's a little shy. Doesn't have a lot of friends, kinda serious and lately it seems like he's had a lot on his mind.

For those of you who don't know him, his name's Kohan. He's tall, has silver hair with black streaks, looks kinda like Riku...

Anyway, I'm just wondering what I should do. I really wanna make him feel better, but I don't wanna force things on him and make him uncomfortable.

See, I got this guy for Christmas, but I'm not really sure how to take care of him or what he really is. I get that he's some kinda horse, but that emblem on him's really unfamiliar. I know he's definitely not an Unversed...

Plus, I dunno what I oughta be feeding him. All I do know is that he keeps staring at the bakery whenever we walk by.

[But later on, Ven can be found riding on his colorful steed. ...awkwardly.

It seems that his Dream Eater's taking him on a wild goose chase, straight for the bakery, and... Right into the roof, leading to an awkward landing when the two slide down from the edge.

Yeah, I guess you're right! It's not like he never talks or anything, but lately he's just been super quiet. Like, quieter than usual.

[And while it may not be Ven's business (who's he to say?), he still can't help but wonder...]

There's gotta be something wrong, but I just don't know what, and he keeps acting like everything's fine.

You can always go fishing for the reason, since he won't say. And even when you get it wrong it could get him to talk?

Fishing, huh? I'd probably have to be subtle about it, though. Sometimes it's really hard to get him to talk about his feelings.

...and by sometimes I mean most of the time.

You might have to have something else going on too, or he would probably catch you.

True, but they are the hardest to figure out...usually.

Yeah... Especially if they're the types that internalize everything.

But it's not just the quiet types who're hard to read. I know somebody who talked a whole lot-- at least, enough to get under your skin, but I could never figure out what was going on inside his head.

Try figuring out someone who has someone else's memories.

Well, the worst thing that's ever happened to Kohan was turning into a Heartless. I'm not even sure how that happened.

What's a Heartless?

They're these monsters made outta the darkness in people's hearts. Usually they attack people and rip their hearts out, but Kohan was different; he still acted like himself.
