Hey, guys, I've got a question.

[He sighs. It's something that's been bothering him for a while.]

See, I've got this friend, who's... well, he's a little shy. Doesn't have a lot of friends, kinda serious and lately it seems like he's had a lot on his mind.

For those of you who don't know him, his name's Kohan. He's tall, has silver hair with black streaks, looks kinda like Riku...

Anyway, I'm just wondering what I should do. I really wanna make him feel better, but I don't wanna force things on him and make him uncomfortable.

See, I got this guy for Christmas, but I'm not really sure how to take care of him or what he really is. I get that he's some kinda horse, but that emblem on him's really unfamiliar. I know he's definitely not an Unversed...

Plus, I dunno what I oughta be feeding him. All I do know is that he keeps staring at the bakery whenever we walk by.

[But later on, Ven can be found riding on his colorful steed. ...awkwardly.

It seems that his Dream Eater's taking him on a wild goose chase, straight for the bakery, and... Right into the roof, leading to an awkward landing when the two slide down from the edge.

He kinda fell into the lifestream...a place where the souls of everything that lives or lived go.

So I don't think your friend has to worry about that. It was a special case.

Well, the worst thing that's ever happened to Kohan was turning into a Heartless. I'm not even sure how that happened.

Yeah, it's hard to explain...

What's a Heartless?

They're these monsters made outta the darkness in people's hearts. Usually they attack people and rip their hearts out, but Kohan was different; he still acted like himself.

[Really, Sora or Roxas could probably explain better, though.]

[Alright. That's a little more than she wants to imagine.]

...If a person gets their heart ripped out...don't they die?

Not exactly. I've had my heart split in two, and I'm still here.

I'm pretty sure that would kill anybody.

Not where I'm from. Hearts're... kinda different. They're made up of light and darkness, and I've met somebody who's got no heart at all.

Ooooh. You should've explained that first! I was thinking of someone actually ripping out someone's heart! And now I can't stop picturing it.

How can someone have no heart? That would make them...heartless, right?

See, that's where things get really complicated, 'cause there're monsters called Heartless, which're made outta the darkness in people's hearts and then there's Nobodies, who're the bodies left behind when people lose their hearts...

At least, that's my understanding. I'd have to ask Roxas for more details.

Oh, I think I know him! He looks...just like you, right?

Looks the same, sounds the same... It definitely took some getting used to, but now I don't really mind. Just requires a little explanation sometimes when people get us mixed up.
