I'm sure some of you heard what happened to Axel. He got attacked and almost died.

Well, the person who hurt him's name is Vanitas. He wears a mask and armor all the time, and he can use a Keyblade. If you see him around, be careful; he's really dangerous, and I don't want anyone else to get hurt!

[With that little warning out of the way, he's highly considering closing his journal, but after a moment he adds:]

What do you think it means if someone looks just like you?

Hey, there's something I wanted to ask you...

[Shortly after he finishes his message, Ven can be found outside, wearing his armor. That's not all, though; rather than travel around on foot, Ven's decided to use the rooftops to his advantage, gliding from roof to roof in order to see if he can spot Vanitas. If you're sleeping, don't mind any thuds that might occur from him making a landing. It's for a good cause!]

[Oh yeah? Well, Ven immediately charges, launching a strike raid straight for him!]

[Ven quickly blocks the flames, dodge rolling to the side and sending an aeroga his way.]

[Well, Ven's not hopping down just yet. In fact, he's got a wonderful idea!

So, how's Vanitas feel about mine square spam?]

Gaah!

[Oshi--

The thundaga hits, sending Ven backwards so he's on the very edge of the roof.]

Someone you know. In fact, he looks an awfully lot like you.

Roxas? But he wouldn't do something like that!

[Or would he? Either way, Ven's charging again, aiming to hit him with ars arcanum.]

[A little too hard to avoid, in fact! It sends him back, skidding down the roof, and he nearly falls off! Right now, he's just hanging onto the edge. Darn it.]

You sound pretty confident, considering you barely know him.

How do you even know he's on your side?

I trust him more than you.

[Slowly, he's trying to pull himself back up so he can continue to fight.]

Even if I don't know him that well, he seems like a good person. He's never done anything to make me think otherwise.

Well, everyone's gotta start somewhere.

[He winces; fortunately, the armor lessens the pain.

With his other hand, he raises his Keyblade and then...]

Drift!

[Sorry, man. It's nothing personal.]

[Excellent! This gives Ven enough time to get back onto the roof and start hammering Vanitas with his Keyblade.]

[Ven takes a few hits before he blocks right back and dodge rolls to the side. He's not sure what Vanitas is planning, but he'll stand his ground just to be safe.]

[The illusion definitely confuses him, even if he knew about the trick from before. Though Ven tries to block and fight back, it's hard to get him while he pulls these stunts.

Ven takes several hits before he tightens his grip on the Keyblade and starts warping himself! Time splicer certainly comes in handy when he's stuck in tight spots like this.]

[By the time Ven's done teleporting, he doesn't have time to dodge. The blizzaga sends him over the edge and onto the ground with a THUD.]

[Unlike Vanitas, Ven doesn't have superhuman endurance, which leaves him perfectly open for attacks at the moment.]
