Hey, guys, I've got a question.

See, I've got this friend, who's... well, he's a little shy. Doesn't have a lot of friends, kinda serious and lately it seems like he's had a lot on his mind.

For those of you who don't know him, his name's Kohan. He's tall, has silver hair with black streaks, looks kinda like Riku...

Anyway, I'm just wondering what I should do. I really wanna make him feel better, but I don't wanna force things on him and make him uncomfortable.

See, I got this guy for Christmas, but I'm not really sure how to take care of him or what he really is. I get that he's some kinda horse, but that emblem on him's really unfamiliar. I know he's definitely not an Unversed...

Plus, I dunno what I oughta be feeding him. All I do know is that he keeps staring at the bakery whenever we walk by.

[But later on, Ven can be found riding on his colorful steed. ...awkwardly.

It seems that his Dream Eater's taking him on a wild goose chase, straight for the bakery, and... Right into the roof, leading to an awkward landing when the two slide down from the edge.

I can see why you'd think that, but I've never seen a Pokémon this colorful before. Plus he's got that emblem on his chest.

Does that emblem mean something? It doesn't look like it's just some random marking... it's way too neat for that.

See, that's what I'm thinking, too. There's gotta be some kinda significance to it. I mean, the Unversed all had the same kinda emblem, so maybe it's like that.

They're monsters made outta negative emotions... and they all came from Vanitas.

... I'm not sure if that's more or less creepy than those "Heartless" things Sora told me about.

Well, Unversed don't take people's hearts, so I'd argue they're a little better. Still dangerous, though.

Don't tell me they take people's brains instead or something...

Nah. They just attack people and cause loads of trouble!

Oh... that's a lot better than what I was thinking. I mean, not that attacking people is good, but it's better than taking their brains or hearts or anything else.

No, I agree. Nobody deserves to have their hearts ripped outta them. I can't even begin to imagine what that's like.

Me neither, and I don't think I even want to try. That's just creepy.

Creepy and depressing. One of my friends wound up becoming a Nobody, and I wish there was some way I coulda helped him.

That's what happens to the people who lose their hearts, right?

Yeah... But it's not something that really happened a lot in my time.

I'd say that's a good thing-- the fewer people who lose their hearts, the better. That's gotta be pretty terrifying, even if they get it back in the end.

Darkness in general's pretty scary. I mean, I guess it's one of those things you can't avoid, but it's still not something I'd wanna mess with personally.

Same. It can be bad enough even when there aren't any weird heart-stealing things hiding in it.

Kind of. You'd have to ask Ratatosk more about what the Temple of Darkness was like, since I don't remember any of it. He was the one in charge for that.
