[He's been staring at his journal for a while, just trying to find the right words. It's... difficult, in part because he's so surprised and also due to sadness.

When Ven speaks into the journal, he tries to hide his disappointment; as a result, he sounds pretty strained.]

Hey, guys. Looks like it's December now, which means Christmas is right around the corner. I heard about a party over the journals, but does anyone else have something fun planned? If it's anything like last year, we'll probably get a ton of snow. A big snowball fight could be fun. Just an idea.

[He sighs. This isn't working...]

Terra's gone. After all this time, I didn't think he'd... [A beat.]

Does anyone wanna hang out? Or do something? I think I need a distraction right now.

[There, at least he's being honest. And with that, he'll probably check up on his housemates (especially Vanitas) and then head out into the village for a bit. He might be wandering a little aimlessly. He'll be just about everywhere before he returns back to the house.

Yeah, it's just us now.

I think it'll be okay, though. Vanitas is letting me borrow his CD player; I never thought he'd do something like that. So... I guess I did something right.

[He was expecting trolling, not... kindness. It's so strange.]

Being friendly? I think a lot of the reason why he was so violent was because that's all he knew, so I'm trying to show him there's more to life than fighting.

I just didn't think he was the kind of guy that was teachable. You know what he's capable of, Ven. It's kind of scary.

But I'm not gonna stop here. I wanna make sure he keeps getting better and better.

Like a therapist. Have you gotten to the root of the problem with him, or is that still a big mystery? Unless it really is just the fact he's never known anything else...

Well, he was created to fight me and forge the χ-blade. It's not just the only thing he knew; it was his purpose. The reason Master Xehanort split us in the first place.

And with the way my feelings affect him, I think he wanted to hold onto whatever identity he had, even if it meant hurting others.

Neither of you are whole without the other but you both want to be your own person. [Gee, where has she heard that before.]

Yeah. And I think he's scared that if he changes, he'll be more like me and lose his own identity.

Have you asked him at all?

He keeps that sorta thing to himself, so I'm trying not to push him too much.

He trusts you though, from the sounds of it. You'd be the best one to get the answers from him.

Well, I can try. I've just gotta be careful and not push too much on him at once.

Don't worry. I'll talk to him about it. I'm just glad he didn't attack anybody.

He wouldn't have dared. It would have looked way too suspicious, but I'm glad he didn't, too.

Yeah. Hope it'll stay that way when he gets his sight back.

Hard to say. I don't know how death penalties work around here.

Usually it takes months to fix. Sometimes a year...I don't remember how long it took for Xion's to get reversed.

Well, the more time I've got the work to him, the better the odds are that he'll change.
