[He's been staring at his journal for a while, just trying to find the right words. It's... difficult, in part because he's so surprised and also due to sadness.

When Ven speaks into the journal, he tries to hide his disappointment; as a result, he sounds pretty strained.]

Hey, guys. Looks like it's December now, which means Christmas is right around the corner. I heard about a party over the journals, but does anyone else have something fun planned? If it's anything like last year, we'll probably get a ton of snow. A big snowball fight could be fun. Just an idea.

[He sighs. This isn't working...]

Terra's gone. After all this time, I didn't think he'd... [A beat.]

Does anyone wanna hang out? Or do something? I think I need a distraction right now.

[There, at least he's being honest. And with that, he'll probably check up on his housemates (especially Vanitas) and then head out into the village for a bit. He might be wandering a little aimlessly. He'll be just about everywhere before he returns back to the house.

Care to cheer him up? Or antagonize him? Anything goes!]

Great. Is it all right if I meet you in the plaza? [She would meet you at your house but she does not know where you live--which may be a good thing since that sounds stalkerish]

Sure thing! I'll be out there in a second.

[Not a literal second, but she'll probably get the idea. Naoto is smart like that.]

I'll see you then.

[It won't take long for Naoto to get there, so as she's waiting out in the cold, she'll just be sitting on the fountain, reading a book. But... that's not exactly surprising since her nose is always stuck in a detective novel of some sort]

[That's okay! Once Ven spots Naoto, he'll mosey on over, trying not to surprise her.]

[Oh don't worry Ven, it takes a lot to surprise her. Closing the book, Naoto stands up and gives the other a smile]

Hello, Ven-kun. [She almost continues on by apologizing for his friend leaving but she shuts her mouth. Maybe it's best not to let him linger over that subject right now] Is there anywhere in particular that you'd like to go?

[He shrugs and shakes his head.]

Nah, I'm up for just about anything!

Alright then. Shall we? [She just gestures simply in one direction and begins to walk. Honestly, she may look a bit more distracted as she walks. Things are going through her head, between her parents and how to cheer Ven up since it's not her forte]

Yep! Works for me.

[It's okay, Naoto. Ven's just glad to have a friend close by, and he doesn't expect her to do a ton of talking just for his sake.]

[It takes Naoto a minute or two before she gets back around to reality and takes a look at Ven]

Actually--Do you mind if we stop by the battle dome? There's something I'd like to show you.

[Ven nods without a second thought.]

Sure! I'm up for whatever you wanna do, Naoto.

[She chuckles a little and changes direction] Let's go then.

[Ven nods, quickly following behind her! Oh, is he excited? Maybe just a little!

...or a lot.]

[Well good! It makes her smile to see he's excited. Naoto sure hopes this will make him happy. It isn't her best idea but it's something. So walk walk walk]

[Walking along, singing a song!

...only not. But still, he's cuuurious.]

You're going to have to stay curious just a few more minutes~ because Naoto is just going to stay quiet the whole walk there. Once they do get to the battle dome though, Naoto is going to gesture to one of the free rooms] Stand by the door. [She wants this to be a surprise]

Okay, Naoto! You got it.

[He'll chill here, just waiting to see what she's got in store.]

[Good boy. Now while you're over there, Naoto is going to walk over to the control panel and start to press some buttons. She's never tried to create something like this, so hopefully it'll turn out okay.

It takes her a few minutes to get it all in there before she presses a final button and walks over to Ven] Ready?

Ready whenever you are, Naoto!

[He grins. C'mon, let's see what's in store!]

Alright then.

[And Naoto's just going to head into the room Ven has been standing next to.

The moment they go inside, the air around them should become a bit warmer than the previous area they were just in though there's a cool breeze to make it pretty comfortable. They're in Inaba. Well... just on the roof of the school, but still in Inaba. With the bright moon above them, everything is still visible. The air conditioning unit, the metal tubes running from it and along the floor, the fence that's on the edge, everything. But all of that isn't what Naoto wants Vent to look at, she wants him to look at the milky way above them.

She wanders out towards the fence and looks up] I thought this would be the best place to see them.

Whoa...

[Ven takes a look around, marveling at the view above. Given Terra's recent departure, this is a pleasant and welcome surprise.

After a few moments, he'll turn to Naoto and smile. This time it's genuine.]

Is this your world?

Yes, it is.

[She turns around to look at the fence behind here and below is a view of the town] This is my hometown, Inaba.

[A view, huh? Then Ven'll have to look over too, and--

Oh man. This just got even cooler.]

It looks really nice, Naoto. Especially the view!

[She smiles]

I'm glad you think so. A lot of people who lived here grew tired of this same scenery day in and day out.

I guess after a while some people might wanna see new places, but it's still home, right?

I think that's what counts.
