[Ever since Vanitas moved in, Ven's had a lot on his mind. Taking in the same guy who nearly killed a lot of his friends, took over his body, and caused general chaos isn't something most people would even consider.

But Ven's not like other people. He's far too nice for his own good, and what some may consider reckless he views as the 'right' thing-- especially when someone's starving and dehydrated.

So, when he opens the journal, he doesn't look or sound particularly sad-- just a little confused. Something's on his mind, if nothing else.]

Hey, guys. I've got a question... [A beat.]

Let's say you know this guy who's kind of a jerk. What's the best way to help him lighten up a bit and improve his attitude?

[Suddenly, there's another voice chiming in. One some people will probably recognize as Vanitas.]

I hear a lobotomy works wonders.

Hey!

[What follows is some shuffling, followed by a resounding SQUEAK! Probably from an inflatable hammer.]

[ooc: Italics = Vanitas. Ven's gonna be doing most of the talking, but Vanitas might make some background comments!]

...seriously? [Just. This face.] Well that's a start. Which one did you take him on?

Tyr's Legacy. I thought something huge and fast would be right up his alley.

Guess you were right. I only went on that one once...it was kind of crazy.

...hey you didn't eat the beef sundae, did you?

They had beef sundaes?

[... That's weird. Ven was probably too busy eating normal ice cream.]

That's what he was eating when I found him...I mean it wasn't bad, but it was pretty weird.

Was it actually ice cream, or just beef in an ice cream dish?

[Or something else? He's having trouble visualizing this.]

It was like beef with potatoes and gravy with a cherry tomato on top.

I guess that doesn't sound so bad.

[It does sound heavy duty, though.]

It wasn't! ...it just got kind of bad when it got cold. Cold potatoes and gravy doesn't taste the same.

Cold potatoes don't feel the same, either. Sure you can heat 'em up, but they're still better fresh.

Exactly. Vanitas' leftovers just didn't do it for me. I'm glad you understand though.

Wait, you ate some of his leftovers? Did he give 'em to you?

...something like that. [More like he kind of took them.] He's not exactly the sharing type.

So you took it from him?

[Oh, Roxas. He can guess that easily.]

I'm not saying that. [He's not denying it either though.] But he wouldn't share and I just wanted to know.

That doesn't surprise me. Vanitas isn't into sharing or helping people.

So I've noticed. Might wanna work on that.

I'll try. Just don't wanna try too much at a time.

Because he might freak out?

He'd get really defensive if I pushed too much on him at once.

All right, fine. You know him better than I do, but I still stand by that maybe a push is just what he needs.

Maybe. I've never done something like this before, so it's a little hard.

[Hmmm.]

But I guess a little push won't hurt.

It's all about strongholding. Trust me.

I'll figure something out. Just don't wanna push so hard that it irritates him.

I know it's gonna take a long time, and probably a lot of patience.

You're way more patient than I am then. I'd offer to help, but I don't think it'd be a good idea.
