[Ever since Vanitas moved in, Ven's had a lot on his mind. Taking in the same guy who nearly killed a lot of his friends, took over his body, and caused general chaos isn't something most people would even consider.

But Ven's not like other people. He's far too nice for his own good, and what some may consider reckless he views as the 'right' thing-- especially when someone's starving and dehydrated.

So, when he opens the journal, he doesn't look or sound particularly sad-- just a little confused. Something's on his mind, if nothing else.]

Hey, guys. I've got a question... [A beat.]

Let's say you know this guy who's kind of a jerk. What's the best way to help him lighten up a bit and improve his attitude?

[Suddenly, there's another voice chiming in. One some people will probably recognize as Vanitas.]

I hear a lobotomy works wonders.

Hey!

[What follows is some shuffling, followed by a resounding SQUEAK! Probably from an inflatable hammer.]

[ooc: Italics = Vanitas. Ven's gonna be doing most of the talking, but Vanitas might make some background comments!]

A little better. I just wonder how much of it's genuine and how much is because he can't fight right now.

You're not going to know unless you keep trying. But be careful, okay? I wonder if he just acts differently around you because of who you are.

Nah, he acts the same to just about everybody. Even after I saved him, he's still pretty harsh.

But it's okay; I'm used to it by now, and I'm not gonna let him walk all over me.

I know. It's just a tough spot to be in. Not everyone's gonna like what I did.

Yeah, I know. All I'm saying is that people have a right to be angry about it. Vanitas almost killed Axel, Sora, Xion, Naoto... and probably some others, too.

Believe me, I'm still angry at him. And I'm not sure how I feel about ever going to your place again...but he's your responsibility. It's like adopting a feral cat.

I am too. It'll take a lot for me to forgive him, but at least he's harmless right now? Doesn't mean he's good company, but it's better than before.

I've just gotta figure out a way to make this work. Guess it'd be easier if he wasn't...

Right...well, what do you like to do with your other friends? Maybe you can pull something from there.

Well, we train together and stargaze a lot, but those aren't gonna work. We do a lot of different stuff when we hang out, though. Just gotta think of something he could do while he's stuck like this.

He could garden. I mean he can't see the colors of the flowers but he can smell them..it's getting late in the year, but you can try an indoor one or something.

He could, but I don't think he'd go with it right away. Right now, he'd probably just kill the plants.

That's when you squirt him with a water bottle and tell him no.
