[Aw, shucks. Ven looks very pleased with himself; it's nice to see one of his friends so excited.]

C'mon. I'll even show you my favorite spot!

[He's ready to go at any time, too. So many neat things, including the training grounds, and the best view in the whole place.]

So this is the place you grew up in...

[Ven's a good listener, so he probably heard it. Now then... he'll point over towards the mountain path.]

Hey, let's go this way.

[He points towards a nearby bridge, which goes over a little stream that connects to a pond filled with flowers and lily pads. There's a waterfall flowing from one of the nearby ledges, and on the other side of the bridge is some training gears. Metal rings dangling from poles that are probably targets of some kind.

One of the structures has four targets hanging from chains and looks like it could spin if hit hard enough.

All around, the faint glow of lanterns lights the way up to the summit, where the view is even better.]

If my house turned into something like this, I wouldn't mind it at all. In fact, I'd wish that it would stay that way forever.

Yeah, it'd be really cool if it stayed like this. Even if it's not really home, it's still nice to have a little piece of it here.

[Shouldn't take too long to reach the summit, at least. It's a safe distance.]

But at least there's the battle dome... even if there's always gotta be some kinda enemies there.

The battle dome isn't a very relaxing place, yes.

Hey, Ven? Can we sit around here for a little while? -- Only if you don't mind.

[He glances around, and-- aha! Once he finds the spot, he'll motion towards it.]

Wanna sit over there? The view's perfect.

[Great view of the stars and everything else in the distance, really.]

Yeah, that's fine with me.

Have you ever gone beyond this point?

[Well, once he gets to the edge, he'll take a seat and wait for her to get there.]

Well, I've tried looking around on my Glider a few times, but I was never allowed to go too far. Master Eraqus was really protective of me; I wasn't supposed to go to other worlds in the first place.

You must've felt pretty restricted, huh? I probably would've taken the same chance you did, if I were in your position. It sucks not being able to explore such a beautiful place.

Really restricted.

[He sighs. It's not that he doesn't respect his Master, but the way he was kept so close to home...]

Whenever I asked if I could visit other worlds, he always told me no. And when I finally did leave, Aqua kept trying to take me back. My friends and Master thought it was too dangerous and that I couldn't take care of myself.

[Though there is more to it.]

But you can. That's just them saying they really care about you. I'm actually pretty envious of you, having relations that close.

Yeah, but I wish they'd let me be more independent. I've been training just as hard as they have, and I've taken on some pretty tough Unversed before.

[To bring up χ-blade issues yet? Hmm... he'll wait for a minute.]

But don't you have best friends back home, Minako?

I know if I had a cute little brother, I wouldn't ever want to put him in danger. I'd hate to see him grow up and would want him to stay his adorable self all the time, but... That's just not possible. I'm sure if you give them a little time, and keep on proving yourself you'll reach that point eventually.

Ahaha, I do. The way you talk about your friends though, it's almost like you all are your own family.

[...There she goes again with the cute thing. Gotta maintain composure here.]

That's what I'm trying to do. Even if they mean well, there's gotta be some way to prove I'm not just a kid. Besides, we're a team; if something ever happened to them, I'd be ready to jump in and lend a hand.

[But, ah. The family bit does ring true for Ven.]

And like you said, they are like family to me. They're kinda like older siblings, especially Terra.

I was in a similar position a while back, believe it or not. It's not because of age though, rather... My gender. It's probably not as bad as for you, but within my team, I was a leader. They was a dispute over that, and my male team mates would always insist protecting me.

... yeah, that's what I never got to experience.

Really? But just because you're a girl doesn't mean you can't lead. My friend Aqua was the first of us to become a Keyblade Master, and she's really strong. Both with fighting and where it really counts.

[In other words, inside! Her heart. Oh, sentimental KH logic.]

But I'm sorry to hear that, Minako. Both about your team and family. But at least your brother's here, right? That's pretty close!

It's different where you go. It was fine in the end, since I earned their trust and respect as a leader eventually.

... Yeah, I shouldn't take advantage of these things. In a lot of ways, I'm really lucky.

By the way, are there still more rooms like this in your house?

[Ah, of course! Ven nods, glancing over his shoulder. There should be a path somewhere that'll lead them out of this 'room' and into another. The only thing that breaks away from this life-like representation of his home.]

Yeah, there's more. Wanna see the rest?

I'd love to. There's always coming back once we've seen everything else, no?

Our adventure isn't over yet!

[And he'll take that hand. Nope, nothing strange here!]

Then what're we waiting for? There's still a lot to see!

All right, all right! So where're we headed towards next?

You'll see when we get there; I don't wanna spoil the surprise!

[Because the next room is totally awesome.

It might take a little bit of navigating before Ven finds the 'entrance' to one of the rooms (http://images.wikia.com/kingdomhearts/images/e/e0/Hollow_Bastion-_Lift_Stop_%28Art%29_KHI.png) in the Hollow Bastion castle. A lift stop, to be precise.]

Names would be pretty nice though for future reference, you know?

Well, my world's called the Land of Departure, but I don't know what this place is.

[But here, he'll step outta the way so she can slide on in and take a look around the lift stop in this crazy huge castle.]

There're some rooms we could check out, or we could ride the lift up higher. There's a really neat view up there!
