[In spite of recent happenings, Ven starts out his message sounding quite pleased with himself. Maybe even a little excited. However, those watching his entry may notice that his smile comes across as rather forced, as does his enthusiasm.]

There sure are a lot of new people this cycle! I know a lot of people have already said it, but welcome to Luceti! I know it's rough showing up in a new world, but there's a bunch of people here who'd be willing to help you get comfortable, so don't be afraid to ask. I know I'm always up to lending a hand.

And that reminds me... Terra's here! He's still getting used to this place, so if any of you see him around, don't be afraid to talk to him. He's pretty tall, has brown hair, and is kinda serious sometimes, but once you get to know him, he's a great guy. I bet he wouldn't mind making some new friends.

[However, that enthusiasm doesn't last very long. He remembers his last conversation with Xion over the journals, the impending threat he faces, and all that bottled up fear. Although he's trying his best to stay strong, to be brave, Ven knows better to ignore the truth. So, after a moment's pause, he drops the facade and tosses up a quick filter.]

... Actually, there's something else I wanted to talk about. Something really important.

Some of you guys might remember my warning about Vanitas from a few months ago. Well, it turns out that he's way more dangerous than I thought.

Not only that, but he's a part of me. The darkness from my heart.

[It'll probably sound weird to people who aren't used to KH logic, but if anyone questions it, he'll explain then. Right now, he's focused on getting the word out.]

And if the two of us fight, it'll create a powerful weapon called the χ-blade. It sounds just like "Keyblade," but it's nothing like the weapons me and my friends wield. If he gets his hands on it, he could end up hurting a lot of people. He's not the kinda guy you can reason with, either, which means if he attacks, he'll have to be stopped.

[He pauses again, his tone a little more fearful]

But if that happens, he'll get more than a weapon. Creating the χ-blade means that he'll take over my body. I won't be able to stop him if that happens, which means the χ-blade's gonna have to be destroyed, or...

[A beat.]

I will.

For now, I'm gonna try to keep that from happening, but I don't know how much longer I can run away. I won't let him win that easily, but chances are it's gonna happen sooner or later. So, guys, if he has his way, just... stay safe, okay?

Well, he used his Keyblade to take all the darkness out of my heart.

It might've been magic... Keyblades are powerful weapons, but usually they don't unlock hearts.

I'm human. Where I'm from, everybody's heart has light and darkness in it. I bet Master Xehanort could've done the same thing with anyone else.

He's human too, but Keyblade Masters know all kinds of magic. Maybe there's some kind of trick to it that only Masters know.

What is a Keyblade?

They're kinda like swords, only way more powerful. They can be used for magic, and they can break through any locks, even to the hearts of worlds. In the wrong hands, a Keyblade could do tons of damage, but most Keybearers fight to protect the worlds and keep 'em balanced.

Yep. They're pretty rare, though. The only way to wield one's if you've been chosen by it.

[And that requires being chosen by a Master... Ah. Long story there.]

It all depends on strength of heart. If it's not sentient, maybe it can still sense power somehow?

Well, the heart's really important, but I don't think that's all it takes. Anyone can learn magic, but you need a lot more than skill to wield a Keyblade.
