Fifteenth Shooting Star - voice;

[The draft was rough. A lot of people are still recovering from the emotional and physical strain.

But Ven isn't one to dwell on that for too long, and he figures the people of Luceti could use some positive discussion material. So, here he is.]

I know that everyone here comes from different worlds, but I've been thinking about it for a while, and I was wondering. How many of you guys have been to other worlds before?

Not Luceti. I mean before you came here.

And if you did see other worlds, what were they like? I'd love to hear about 'em! I've been to a lot of worlds, but I'm sure there's still thousands of 'em I've never even heard of.

[He pauses for a minute. Just asking about people who've seen other worlds does leave a lot of people out. Hmmm...]

Oh, and if you haven't, you could always talk about your adventures back home!

Anyway, when I first met her, she was really scared. She thought the trees were gonna attack her, but I helped cheer her up. After that, I took her to the cottage right outside the woods. That's where I bumped into the Dwarfs again.

They still didn't trust me, even after Snow White stood up for me. Then she told me that a guy with a key-shaped sword scared her. It sounded a lot like Terra, but there's no way he would've done something like that! I had to prove it somehow. That's why I ran straight into the woods, but before I could make it to the castle, this tree-shaped Unversed attacked me.

It was a tough fight, but I made it out okay. I even ran into this old lady, who said she saw Terra. But she told me that he tried to attack her! It didn't add up. Everybody made it sound like Terra'd been hurting people, but that just wasn't like him.

I couldn't find him anywhere, so I took off for the next world.

[Fortunately, his next adventure wasn't as rough. He'll get to that shortly.]

... you have a lot of faith in your friends, don't you? That's really admirable; not a lot of people can manage that. Your friends are fortunate to have someone like you. Hey, Ven-san, what do you travel between worlds on, anyway? A spaceship?

Yep! Me and my friends are connected, and I'll always believe in them.

[He grins. Now then, travel...]

Anyway, I don't really use a ship. Basically, my Keyblade turns into a Glider-- it kinda looks like a hover board. Then I put on my armor and open a path into the Lanes Between.

That's a good idea to keep in mind. I'll be sure to remember it from now on too, thank you!

Eh? Your keyblade? That's the thing you used to fight the Unversed in the battle dome, right? ... Do you think I can see it next time I run into you? I'm having troubles imagining it.

I could show you my Keyblade again, but right now I can't change it into its Glider form. Think it's got something to do with the power cap.

That's a shame! Maybe one day then, if that's ever changed. I admit, it still doesn't stop it from being pretty awesome though. Do all your friends from your world have one too?

Terra and Aqua do, and so does our Master, but that's 'cause we're his apprentices. Well, Aqua used to be. She's a Master now!

Oh! Those were the friends you were talking about the day I met you, right? Are they all here in Luceti too? Uwaaa! She must be the coolest!

[Especially Terra. Terra is the coolest person ever.]

Anyway, Terra's here, but I haven't seen Aqua in a few months. She left after one of the experiments...

[He's trying not to sound too bummed out about it because he knows he'll see her again. Kid just misses her.]

I think your whole trio is from how you're describing them, honestly. That must've been tough, but... I'm glad you're still optimistic. So where were we on your story again?

Oh yeah! I almost forgot.

[He got so sidetracked talking about his friends that it slipped his mind for a second. Right then.]

Anyway, after I left Snow White's world, I kept on looking for Terra. But when I tried to get to the next world, things got kinda messy.

For some reason, I got really small. About the size of a mouse, and I ended up inside a mouse trap. Luckily Cinderella and a mouse named Jaq helped me out. I tried asking Jaq if he'd seen Terra, but it was no good. Still, I decided to stick around for a while. At least I'd get to make some new friends.

[He pauses for a second.]

Anyway, it turns out that Cinderella really wanted to go to the ball, but her stepmother and stepsisters kept making her do a bunch of chores. She'd only be able to go if she finished her dress on time, but with all the work she was doing, there just wasn't much time. That's why me and Jaq decided to finish it for her.

-!! So in ways, you guys were completing the stories? Maybe if it's possible one day, I could show you the picture books from my world but if not, I could always give it a go at rewriting them.

Only if you're interested, of course! Because the way I knew Cinderella and Snow White, in my world, their stories were slightly different from the ones you mentioned!

Maybe they've got 'em in the library! We could always check and see.

[He grins.]

I don't mind, anyway. A friend of mine told me a story about Hercules once, and it was really different than what I saw in his world.

Oh! I've completely forgot about the library! Would you like to go together sometime soon, then? Probably not today since I have things I need to at home in an hour or two, but if you're free tomorrow or the following week, we should set up a date for doing so!

And hey, hey, Ven-san? Just how many worlds have you travelled? It almost sounds like you've seen my whole childhood, with how many adventures you seem to have had. At this rate, I wouldn't even be surprised if you've seen Mickey and Minnie!

Definitely! I'm up for it any time, so whatever works best for you is fine by me.

[And maybe they have books about stars too!]

Well, I actually do know Mickey and Minnie! But I've been to about...

Hold on, then! Give me a sec, I'm going to check my calender.

How about a week from now, then? Today's the twelfth, so um... That'd be the nineteenth! Is that day fine with you?

Them too? Geez! You're so fortunate! They're like celebrities over here except of the cartoon world; I don't think there's anyone where I live that doesn't know who they are.

I wish they were here so you could meet 'em. Maybe if they show up someday, I can introduce you to them.

Right! Marking that date for you, then! This will be my first time there, so I'm pretty excited by that thought alone.

I think I'd faint if I got the opportunity to meet the real ones in flesh and blood. I'd appreciate it so much, too! It's almost like a dream come true, meeting the models from when I was a kid. On that thought, I hope I'm not seeming like a crazy fan or something like that, because hearing myself speak, I'm sensing that feeling myself.

You don't sound crazy to me! It's like hearing a legend and finding out it's all true. I know I'd be excited if I were in your shoes.

I guess it's not so bad when you put it like that! What kind of stories and legends do you have back at home then, Ven-san?

I wonder if any one of the ones you have are alike to the one I have back at home?

Um, well...

[Let's see. Stories, stories... ]

Well, there's a legend that all the worlds used to be part of one really huge world once, and everybody lived in the light. But soon people started fighting over it, and darkness started to fill their hearts. Then the world broke into a whole bunch of smaller worlds, but the light in children's hearts helped rebuild everything.

But that light's still asleep within the darkness, which is why the worlds are separated still.

[Um, what else.]

Oh, and my friend Aqua told me about a star-shaped fruit that represents an unbreakable connection. And if you and your friends have good luck charms shaped like 'em, nothing'll ever keep you apart.

[But there's gotta be more...]

And my friend Terra says that the stars in the sky are really different worlds, and the reason why you can see them is because of the light in their hearts. Then there's Santa Claus, but I'm sure he's real!

[He could probably think of more, of course. Kid's probably read about other world's legends at least to some extend, given all those books in his room.]

I haven't heard of anything like that before. Mm, mm, I guess that's to be normal? Since we're in different worlds, I guess!

Oh, oh! Star-shaped fruit? Isn't it just... Starfruit? I've never of them being represented that way, but now it's making me feel kind of bad if it's like that. You've never tried it before? I wonder if the general store sells them—?

... The feeling I get from your world is kind of like that. Or at least, your universe. It seems like a bright place to live in, a place that would definitely shine really bright in the sky. And oh—!! There's a similarity. I believe in Santa Claus too! I wonder if he'll stop by Luceti this year?

Well, as long as we're good, I'm sure he'll drop by!

Anyway, that's a good way of putting it! A lot of the worlds I've seen really do feel like bright places to live, even if they've got their share of problems. But that's why I tried to help wherever I could, even if it's something like making a dress or fixing an ice cream machine. [Big or small, solving problems for friends makes him feel good!]

Was that what it was like last Christmas, then? I might have to stop teasing and making fun of my brother or actually, just my friends in general so much, or I'll be sure to end up with coal this year.

... Mm, alternatively though, when I think of Luceti, I'm not quite sure what to think. Everyone here works really hard for what they believe in, so I'm sure there are times where this place shines brilliantly, but...

Well, there was this huge statue that popped up in the middle of the village, and everybody got some kinda present!

It's okay; I understand. There are times when it gets really dangerous here. And if not here, then out on the battlefields whenever people get drafted.
