[Dang, Red went all out! Ven lets out a whistle of approval when he sees him, coupled with a thumbs up. Other than his bits of armor on his shoulder and waist, he's dressed about as casually as usual. A black and white jacket covered with criscrossing straps and a metal pendant, loose, baggy pants. ...Metal boots.

His fashion sense is terrible, but it's what he's used to. So, with Red all set to go, he'll nod and start marching after him.]

So, how many Pokémon do you have, anyway?

[ The whistle and approval catches Red off, but he puffs himself up for a moment with folded arms, putting on a mock serious face that, honestly, comes off more goofy than anything. And Red knows it.

But then he laughs, and so, okay okay, let's go. Honestly the only reason he has the get up is because his friend helped him pick it out...! ]

There's three. Everyone always turns up with three here. [ He makes motions with his hands as he talks, feeling rather jovial. ] But I've got more back home!

[ But maybe he shouldn't start talking about home. He adds the question, just in case- ] Did you wanna try fighting against them?

[Ven... might've chuckled a little at that face. Darn it, that's so something he would've done, too. And it's adorable.

So, yeah, there might be a bit of a spring in his step as he follows.]

Hmm, well, it's worth a shot! Gotta get the hang of my powers out here, anyway.

[Because the new power cap's totally throwing him off.]

How're they holding up?

Do you mean with being in the past?

Yeah, since the power cap's kinda heavy right now.

[So how do Pokémon deal with it? That' the big question. After all, their attacks are probably their main defense mechanism.]

Oh, they're okay. They can't use their energy fancy attacks as well as normal. [ He draws out a hum. ] But that's the same for anyone, right? But it isn't hurting them.

[ Or he hasn't noticed anything, except the frustration from originally testing it. ]

I mean, they can't still use them; they're just not as strong. Venuaur and Snorlax can still hit hard, and Pikachu's naturally fast without a boost.

Well, you aid Snorlax was big, right? Then I bet he could hurt somebody just by flopping on top of 'em.

[Kinda like a... sumo wrestler? Ven tops briefly, scratching his head as he tries to remember where he heard of those. Maybe a book?

Ah well.]

Right, it's like that! [ Red nods.

And on the path they're keeping to the open grassy ground up ahead can be seen, with trees further in the distance. But before them can be seen two large figures- one that nearly blends into all the green (except with a pink flower making her visible), and another that stands out with dark on light, and very very round. There's a splotch of yellow too that might just be noticeable.

Red helps by pointing out towards their way. ] There's everyone. See? There's not a lot to train with unless we find boars and bears in the forest, but it's away from everyone. [ oh oh, he looks at Ventus ] You didn't wanna wrestle boars and bears, did you?

...I bet Terra'd wrestle with bears.

[His eyes slowly widen with realization. A grin starts to take form...

And then he realizes that even if he is taller, that might be pushing it a bit. Plus, the last thing he wants is to beat up on poor, defenseless animals!

Ignoring the obvious tusks and claws.

So, instead, he'll just shrug, giving a wave to the Pokémon as they draw nearer.]

We could always just spar with each other, though. And if I had to, I could see if I could get Gale's attention. He's kinda like a Pokémon.

[ Oh? A name? That gets his attention. ]

Gale?

Oh! He's my Dream Eeater.

[He pauses, rubbing the back of his neck.]

I think they're kinda like Pokémon, 'cept they eat nightmares and sparkle whenever you pet 'em.

Huh? Sparkle when you pet them? I've never heard of that before!

[ It sounds cute, actually... cute and amusing. ]

But I know a pokémon that eats good dreams. But nightmares make them sick.

Hmm. Is it the one that spews out some kinda weird smoke? I remember hearing about that a long time ago...

[His head tilts, and he crosses his arms as he mulls this over. Hrm...]

Smoke? [ Huh? ] You mean a koffing or a weezing?

[ What other pokémon did that? A charizard...? ]

Hmm... I dunno. I think it was some kinda dream smoke. Munna or something? It's been a while...

[But it's definitely not one of those, that's for sure.]

Uhhh... I haven't heard a pokémon called that. But there's hundreds of pokémon in the world! [ So it'd figure. ] The two I was talking about are both related to each other - drowzee and hypno. They can even make you fall asleep too!

Heh. Well, the names are pretty straightforward.

[Plays on drowsy and hypnosis? He's totally down with the puns.

At any rate, he's gonna march on over and greet the Pokémon properly now, complete with a smile and a wave.]

[ That gets a small scoff of a laugh from Red. But anyway, to the rest of the crew!

Venusaur has her vines out already, waving them above her head where Pikachu is currently perched upon. They're both on their feet but Snorlax has decided he isn't for that life, and currently sits on his butt.

Red takes a step forward to in front of them, turning and grinning to Ven. ]

Lemme introduce you to them! You've only met Pikachu before, right?

Yup! Glad to see he's doing better these days.

[But those sure are some big monsters. And Ven, being a total dork, is going to walk right up to Snorlax, taking a few moments to admire just how big and round he is!]

Man, you weren't kidding about this guy. He looks like a giant, living plush toy.

[And that's awesome.]

[ Not most people go for waltzing up right to him, but it's that comment that makes Snorlax grunt, turning his head to Red. What did this guy just call him?

But Red grins, shaking his head. ] He thinks you look cool! [ That's the best way to take it, at least.

As for Pikachu, he might not quite recognise Ven, but he squeaks to him greetings all the same, glancing to Red and giving him a few questioning ones. ]

Yeah, this is the guy I'd said that's training us with! Anyway, [ and back to Ventus ] that's Snorlax, obviously. And then there's Pikachu and Venusaur!

[ Venusaur's vines have calmed down, but she still keeps them out ]

Snorlax's a normal type, then Pikachu's electric, and Venusaur's grass and poison. That kinda means what they're made up of, or what they've got in them. Normal just means... they've got bodies like us? But a thousand times stronger?

[ Something...like that. ]

[He'll hold out his hand for Pika and any other inquiring mons to sniff and, if Pika allows, provide the little critter with some scritches. He's got a soft spot for cute animals, okay?

But, while he does so, he'll be watching the other two with a grin.]

Man, I bet! He and Venusaur both look super tough. Even tougher than a Bruiser!

[ Venusaur's head shifts, a small sound in her mouth - really, compliments always make her feel bashful (but pleased) - while Snorlax's attempt to raise a paw is nothing more than a small motion before it flops back by his side. Whatever a Bruiser is, they'd be no problem for him.

Also, that hand offered by Ven gets him a handshake in return by Pikachu, who then takes any pets and scritches given his way happily. Aww yeea, right there, bro. ]

Bruiser? Doesn't sound like a problem for us. [ Talking like that, you would think Snorlax took after Red. ] We've taken plenty of strong foes on, big and small! And Pikachu's more trouble than he looks, you know.

[Score! Then Ven will happily give Pikachu all the scritches he needs. Behind the ears, under the chin. He's gentle, so not to agitate him, but darn it, he can't resist something so cute.]

They're tough, but really slow. I bet you guys'd knock 'em dead!

[...Well, not in the mot literal sense. Ven isn't that cruel, but still.]

You definitely don't wanna underestimate the little guys, though. One of my friends was barely bigger than Pikachu, and he was about as tough as a cannon ball.
