I'm sure some of you heard what happened to Axel. He got attacked and almost died.

Well, the person who hurt him's name is Vanitas. He wears a mask and armor all the time, and he can use a Keyblade. If you see him around, be careful; he's really dangerous, and I don't want anyone else to get hurt!

[With that little warning out of the way, he's highly considering closing his journal, but after a moment he adds:]

What do you think it means if someone looks just like you?

[Shortly after he finishes his message, Ven can be found outside, wearing his armor. That's not all, though; rather than travel around on foot, Ven's decided to use the rooftops to his advantage, gliding from roof to roof in order to see if he can spot Vanitas. If you're sleeping, don't mind any thuds that might occur from him making a landing. It's for a good cause!]

He's really fast, and I know he can use fire and thunder magic. There's probably more he can do, too. Sometimes he'll sink into the ground or teleport behind you when you try to attack. Sometimes he'll even make afterimages, which can get really confusing.

[What else...? Hmm.]

He jumps really high, and when he hits, he hits hard. Something tells me it'd take a lot to take him down, too. Me and a friend beat him once, but he got up like nothing happened.

[a tch. Of course; teleporting bastards. Everything else save the magic isn't cause enough for concern, but that one fact makes him significantly harder to fight now. She's not as worried about being hit as being able to hit him.]

His teleporting... do you know how it works? Does he have to see where he's teleporting to?

All I know is that he usually does it when you hit him, especially when you're up close.

[So hit and run... repeatedly. A fight that depends on constant endurance.]

Axel's alive, isn't he? Xion-chan's gonna be okay. [Eventually... and with some help, since Sanji knows she isn't okay now. But things will get better]

Yeah, I guess you're right. Still, she's got every right to be upset. I know I'd feel the same if he hurt any of my friends.

[Frankly] From what you've said, I'm surprised he hasn't at one point. Guy sounds like a shitty riot.

Well, he already did with Axel. I'm just surprised he hasn't gone after Aqua or anyone else! We fought before, but I think this is the first time he's caused trouble here.

[She's wondering that herself...]

You think something might've set him off specifically?

He said Roxas let him do it, but I don't believe it.

[Yeah, she doesn't believe it either. But it brings up the next point that was... sorta bugging her.]

Speaking about him... [Scrutinizing him] You two related?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. He told me he's a Nobody, but not my Nobody.

It's really weird, not to mention confusing.

... A Nobody? [She vaguely remembers the term being thrown around... but despite that and who she's close to, Sanji has never been explained the technicalities]

Axel said they're people without hearts.

.... Oh. Of course. [Well... someone who can exist without a heart makes about as much sense as magical keys swords that open doors ~~and your death~~]

I get that, but how are Nobodies connected to other people?

Well, it means they used to be someone else.

And it's the same with every Nobody?

Well, I know Lea and Isa are like that. Both of 'em lost their hearts to darkness, and at least Lea's got a new name. Axel.

[But there's something about Roxas that just doesn't add up...]

With Roxas, I think it might be a little different. He makes it sound like he and Sora are two separate people.

How is that strange? Just because you were someone before doesn't mean it always stays that way.

Because it's not like that with Axel. He acts like he is Lea, but Roxas said that Sora was here, too.

It doesn't sound like Sora looks like me, either.
