Twenty-Fifth Shooting Star - voice;
[It's been a while now since Fuuko's departure. During that time, Ven's been quieter than usual. Not tearful, but a bit more subdued than his usual, goofy self.
Even when he addresses the journal, his tone's a bit soft.]
You know, I gotta wonder. I know lots of you guys have found love here, but how do you guys deal when that person disappears? D'you keep waiting 'til they come back, or do you just... move forward? It's kinda tough spot for me. I'm not gonna let it bring me down or anything, but it's still sad. And it's just like when anyone else leaves-- unexpected.
But it was nice while it lasted. Fuuko's a great person, and I think she brought something special to the village. Who else would go outta their way to throw a huge starfish festival? To tell you the truth, I don't think I'll ever look at starfish the same way.
[He pauses.]
Wonder what Terra and Aqua'd think, though. It's been almost three years now...
[He doesn't expect anyone to react to that last bit. After all, his friends haven't shown up in a long time.]

no subject
[It's too soon. He can't even imagine finding someone new that grabs his heart the way that she did.]
You're right about memories, though. As long as I think back on all the good times, it'll be like she never left at all. We'll still be connected no matter what.
no subject
[In Luceti, at least. Though Ion likes to think those memories never really go away, even when someone leaves. Just because they can't remember anymore doesn't mean they never happened, right?]
Have you thought about planting something for her in the memory garden? Perhaps you could try and find a flower that looks like a star? [Ion never really knew Fuuko, but her love for star(fish) was hardly a secret.]
[Voice]
[The library's gotta have at least one, right?]
[Voice]
[Since even if he finds a flower in a book, there's no guarantee that it can be found here.]
[Voice]
[This is his new urgent mission. Well, that, and making starfish ornaments for around Christmas. He can multitask, right?]

Actually, now that I think of it, there's a large patch of flowers that grows just north of the village, too. I've even been able to find flowers unique to my world there. I usually go there whenever I feel like reading outside, so perhaps next time I do I could try and see if I can find anything there.
[Voice]
[...]
Actually, maybe I oughta check it out sometime! There could be some flowers from Radiant Garden out there. That place was packed with gardens.
[Voice]
[It's not like House One isn't just a short walk away from there, either.]
Radiant Garden? Is that the name of the place you come from?
[Voice]
[His home's a lot... smaller by comparison.]
It's got these huge gardens packed with flowers, waterfalls, fountains, a giant castle! I really wish I could've stayed longer because there's tons I didn't get to see.
[Voice]
[It shouldn't really surprise him too much much. Though he's never really asked, he always assumed that Kohan and Ven got to know each other because they came from the same, if not at least rather similar, worlds. And he also knew from Kohan that Riku had traveled to different worlds before, so it didn't seem too much of a stretch to assume it was something normal for them... though it did raise the question as to whether one could say they really do all come from one world or not.]
[
Or maybe he should just stop trying to understand Kingdom Hearts.]Well, perhaps you'll have an opportunity to go back and see more someday?
[Voice]
[Though that's disregarding the fact that he sorta left without permission, wasn't as experienced as his friends, and left not for the sake of the worlds but to find his friend and make sure he was okay. Then again, once he found out about the Unversed, there was no way he'd turn a blind eye to the dangers.
His tone sobers when he speaks again, though. A chance to go back, huh?]
And I guess you've got a point, though... well, the future's kinda unclear. Who knows what'll happen if I ever get back?
[Voice]
[Under the Malnosso's rule, subject to experiments that can warp their very perceptions of reality--]
You may not know whether or not you'll have the chance to go back, but there's no reason not to hope that you will, right?
[Voice]
I'd like to think I can turn everything around. Just wish I had some kinda assurance, you know? Especially since we'll probably forget everything once we leave.
[Voice]
[Here Ion was trying to help keep Ven's spirits up and now he's unintentionally led him to dragging Ion's down. He can't hold it against him -- he doesn't know Ion's situation -- but it stings a bit to hear nonetheless.]
[He'll just focus on something else then.]
You know, it's actually still a little strange to think that way sometimes. Back on Auldrant, people felt they needed to rely on the future to live in the present. By reading the Score, one could know the future. But even then, it wasn't always beneficial.
[Voice]
[That's the first thing that comes to mind. Even then, are predictions always truth? Does destiny exist?]
And was it always right? I mean, you'd think that the future's one of those things that can be changed, since it hasn't happened yet.
[Voice]
[Though Yulia's Score was a bit more than just a fortune telling... but it was an easy enough explanation without going into a long extrapolation about fonons.]
Up until recently, it was widely believed that the Score was absolute. But I've never believed that to be the case. The Score was only as true as a person wanted it to be -- to be used as a tool when one has fallen off the right path. It was only when people became too dependent upon it that mankind started to realize it wasn't always a good thing to know the future. There were even those who believed that if the Score predicted war would happen, they shouldn't try and prevent it.
[Voice]
[That's just wrong! When is war ever a solution to anything? All it does is lead to pain, destruction, and death.]
It sounds to me like they relied way too much on the Score. Like they were letting it rule over their lives instead of living themselves.
