[Ven's had a lot on his mind these past few weeks. Between the draft, Terra's departure, and... recent events with Fuuko, he's been hit hard and fast.

And what better way to deal with issues than to talk about it? It's for this reason that Ven's pulled open his journal today.

Deep breaths, now. He can do this!]

Say, um. Let's say you just recently started... Well, I mean, if you were--

[He pauses. Gosh, why is this so awkward to ask? COMPOSURE, Ventus.]

Okay, how 'bout this? If you just got together with somebody, and... [...aaand freezing up again.

...aw, heck. He'll just get to the point.]

What kinda things are boyfriends supposed to do? [That came out kinda fast. But... there. At least he said it. And now that that's outta the way, it's time for a more somber subject... He'll get on that after a short pause.]

Also, that last draft really got me thinking. We weren't able to just tag people like before. In order to survive, everybody had to, well... kill. And for me, that's really scary. I can't just... take someone's life, even if they're the enemy.

So I guess what I wanna know is... how do you guys feel about that? And the drafts in general.

I know that's a really weird thing to tackle after that last question, but... well. Any answers are definitely appreciated!

[ Yeah, Kotomi is (as she always is about everything) completely oblivious to her housemate's romance with this guy. So when she answers, it's just randomly.. ]

Ah, I've actually read a little about those kind of things a while ago.. But I guess that was more about relationships in general, not just the boyfriends side.

[ So is she, so.. clearly this will end well. But she has some experience now thanks to Ikki, so maybe it'll marginally go better? ]

Oh, don't worry about that! I'm definitely gonna try and take Fuuko out on some dates. Just gotta figure out where to start, that's all.

[And then he mentioned Fuuko. What do, Kotomi?]

[ There we go. At first it doesn't even hit her, she's just about to reply normally, but..

.. Ah... she's slowly starting to realise, the name slowly registers.. taking Fuuko out on dates must mean that she's his girlfriend, right? Then this person is Fuuko's.. boyfriend..

...... Huh.

It seriously takes her a full few moments to reply, she's just blankly staring in the meantime. ]

You are.. Fuuko-chan's boyfriend..?

...Heh. Yep! We just made it official about a week ago.

[Hopefully her reaction isn't outta disapproval or anything! Ven'd sure hate to upset one of Fuuko's friends.

At least, he's pretty sure she's one of her friends.]

I see.. I didn't know Fuuko-chan had one too. [ Apparently it's not disapproval. It's difficult to tell with Kotomi since half of the time it's hard to say if she's feeling anything from the way she acts.. but she's nodding a little, that's approval, right?! ]

That means you'll make each other happy, right? I thought that's what boyfriends and girlfriends do. They give each other a really, really warm feeling inside..

Well, don't worry! It's pretty recent, so I can't really blame you.

[As for that second bit, he'll nod in return.]

And that's definitely what I'm gonna try to do! Fuuko deserves to be happy.

.. Ah.. I'm glad. [ Now she finally smiles. Blankly, since it's Kotomi, but it's an actual smile, at least! ]

Fuuko-chan really does deserve to be happy. And you sound like a kind person, not like a mean bully at all..

I'd be kinda worried if I came across as a bully! Nobody should ever have to deal with that kinda attitude.

I agree. Bullies are very, very scary.. t-they shouldn't be around to hurt other people. [ apparently this is some personal matter, since she seems a little more agitated at it.. but then she calms down again. ] It's okay as long as Fuuko-chan's boyfriend isn't one of them though.

Don't worry. I'm the kinda person who deals with bullies, anyway.

[Because it's a hero thing! And a lot of the villains he's encountered were like bullies, anyway.]

[ There's a slight gasp. Only slightly, since Kotomi is always so blank that she's never super surprised, but apparently at least a little right now. ]

You fight bullies..? You're just like Ikki-kun then. [ all these bully-fighting boyfriends. ]

Oh, is Ikki a friend of yours?

[Granted, he only knows one Ikki, but hey. That still sounds pretty rad.]

Ikki-kun is my own boyfriend.

[ At least Kotomi herself has no problems talking about that, unlike others.. ]

Oh! ...My bad. I thought you meant a different Ikki.

.. A different Ikki..? [ Kotomi is not aware of all the various Ikkis around Luceti, okay, so she just looks surprised. ]

Is there more than one Ikki-kun around? But which one is mine then..?

Well, the Ikki I know's a little girl, if it helps.

[ She.. actually has to think about this for a few moments here.. this really is how slow Kotomi is, okay. ]

That really must be different from my Ikki-kun, then.. he's not a little girl at all. He's a guy, and he's taller than me.
