Second Shooting Star - voice/action;

You know, this place isn't so bad. Even if it's a prison, at least it's peaceful, and there's a lot of room to explore. Maybe one of these days I'll go check out the forest or the mountains, but right now I'm fine with sticking around the village. Aqua just got here, anyway, and maybe Terra'll show up soon. If he does, we've already got a house set up. Well, sorta. We just moved in, so there's still a lot we could do.

[Briefly, Ventus pauses. The journals are supposed to be for communication, so there's a lot he could talk about, but where to start?

...Well, there is one thing.]

Anyway, I know that you guys come from all kinds of worlds. So what's your world like?

--

[Later tonight, people passing by might spot Ventus chilling on the roof of House 39. But why is he out so late in the first place?

Given how focused he is on the sky, it should be fairly clear. One of his favorite things to do back home was look at the stars, and given that the threat of Unversed seems next to nonexistent, there's finally a good opportunity to do just that.

Feel free to join him or maybe scold him for not carrying a blanket... or whatever floats your boat! In spite of the chilly weather, he doesn't seem too bothered, at least.]

[Pinged.]

...wait, you said Terra?

It's seen better days, I'm afraid.

... Vast is a good word for it. While not physically large, Earth does have a great variety of things in it, from biological to anthropological.

My world?

It's, well... it's big.

[Well hey, this is a hobby that Kratos can relate to. He's out at night, more tense than usual thanks to Mithos arriving, so when he sees a shadow on the roof he immediately stops and looks up to see... a kid he's seen around before. Maybe.

He notices that he's staring at the stars, though, so he relaxes himself and looks up at the sky from the ground.]

They are different from the ones in your world, are they not?

It's a beautiful world. It's mostly covered in ocean, but where there is land, there's beauty. Pathways with waterfalls alongside you, mountains and forests in just the right places... There's even a forest made of crystal!

Yup! Terra's one of my best friends back home. Him and Aqua.

Better days? Did something happen?

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Anthropological? What's that mean?

[Voice]

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? How big?

Oh, I see. My name is Terra, too. I hope this won't be confusing....

[Oh, he wasn't expecting company! Give him a moment, and Ven sits upright, looking down at Kratos with a sheepish smile.]

Yeah, they are pretty different. It's strange because in all the worlds I've visited, the sky's always looked the same. I don't mind, though.

Whoa... A forest made of crystal? I wish I could see it!

[A beat.]

My world's got mountains and waterfalls, too, plus a bunch of rivers. Me and my friends live in a castle up in the mountains, so we get a great view of everything.

Don't worry about it. I already heard about you, and it's not like people can't have the same name.

That's true. My last name is Branford, so...maybe that helps?

...as for my world, it's not very pleasant. This realm is much more peaceful, at least most of the time.

Hmm... Well, my home world is a bit like Luceti. There's mountains, forests, and lakes... But it's of course bigger. People can travel between the continents to the different kingdoms, but it can take days at a time because our transportation is mainly walking or riding boats.

The world was nearly destroyed.

My world, Terca Lumireis, is a very beautiful place... It can be dangerous outside the town barriers, but it's worth it to travel and see new places.

[Voice]

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
I think it helps!

[A beat.]

So is your world pretty dangerous?

[voice]

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
But how'd that happen? Did it have anything to do with darkness?

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
I guess so. But even if it's just a part of your world, I wouldn't mind hearing about it.

[voice]

[identity profile] risingwinds.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
But I think it'd be exciting to travel by sea! Besides, if travel's slow, at least there's a nice view.

[voice]

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I didn't get out much until just a few years ago. I think the travel goes by a lot faster when everything around you is new.
