Twenty-Sixth Shooting Star - voice/action;

[Ven's been doing a lot of reading lately. In fact, those visiting the library may very well have spotted him carrying armfuls of astronomy books, adventure stories, and other odd texts to and fro. After all, there's a wealth of information about other worlds he never would've considered before.

Thus, he addresses the journals today to share what he's learned.]

You know, I've been going through some astronomy books lately, and there's some stuff I just don't get.

[The sound of page flipping picks up, followed by a soft hum.]

Like, blackholes and supernovas. See, where I'm from, every star out there's a whole different world. Their light comes from inside their hearts, not from burning hydrogen and helium, so the idea of stars having huge explosions and just... dying doesn't really add up. Sure, worlds can still disappear, but that only really happens when the darkness swallows their hearts.

I guess I just don't get the connection. It's weird thinking of stars as just... suns, basically. Doesn't that make the universe feel a lot emptier? And black holes...

[He grimaces as he skims the black hole section of one of his books.]

So, they're what happens when stars collapse, right? Just... a point in space that's all warped, and if you pass the event horizon, you get ripped molecule by molecule? That just sounds wrong. Like a path to the Lanes Between that just keeps pulling things in, though now that I think about it, I wonder if a Zero Graviga spell could get you outta one, since you're basically reversing the pull of gravity...

[There's a shaky laugh on his end before he closes the book shut.]

Maybe I'm over thinking it, but have any of you ever found stuff in books that just doesn't add up compared to your worlds?

Action;

[After spending some time doing a bit more reading, Ven opts to brave the outdoors, bringing along his Pegaslick from last Christmas. Despite caring for him for such a long period of time, Ven hasn't really tried flying that much, so the two can be found perched along the rooftop of the ice building. After all, it's the closest perch to his house, and if they're gonna pull this off, they need altitude!

Their goal? To fly from roof to roof, circling over all of the CH buildings. However, as they traverse Luceti from above, their flight pattern's a bit wobbly. Those wandering the streets of Luceti may want to duck!]
